İbrahim Demirel : Doku ve Ritim


1941’ de Malatya, Akçadağ, Körsüleymanlı köyünde doğdu. Akçadağ Öğretmen Okulu, Çapa Öğretmen Okulu Resim Semineri ve Tatbiki Güzel Sanatlar Okulu’nu (Marmara Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi) bitirdi.

 

Sanat, bundan böyle bir yaşam biçimiydi onun için. Çeşitli kuruluşlarda grafikerlik, reklam ve tanıtım fotoğrafçılığı yaptıktan sonra 1975’te Umut Poster Yayıncılık ve Grafikerlik Stüdyosunu kurdu. 1979’da Hollanda Hükümeti tarafından ilk fotoğraf albümü  olan “ Yaşam Kavgası “ yayımlandı. 1981’de “Fotoğraf” ders kitabı basıldı. 1995’de 4 adet portfolyo albümü yayımlandı. 2004’de “İbrahim DEMİREL Fotoğrafları Üzerine Bir İnceleme” kitabı yayımlandı.

1982’de Sanatyapım Plastik Sanatlar Atölye ve Galerisi’ni kurdu. Bugün Başkentin seçkin sanat merkezlerinden biri olan bu atölye ciddi, tutarlı eğitim anlayışıyla sanat eğitimi vermektedir ve bu mekandaki birikimini bir okul, bir müze niteliği kazandırarak geliştirip gelecek kuşaklara aktarmak Demirel’in vazgeçilmez hedefidir.

 

Türkiye’nin sayılı koleksiyonerlerinden biri olan İbrahim DEMİREL, en az 3000 yağlı boyadan oluşan önemli bir resim koleksiyonunun yanısıra toprakaltı ve etnografik parçalardan oluşan seçkin koleksiyonların sahibidir.

 

Fotoğraf sanatçılığı, eğitimciliği, koleksiyonerliği, çeşitli resmi ve özel kuruluşlardaki danışmanlıkları ve yayımladığı kitaplarıyla kültür ve yaşamımıza yeni projeler kazandırmakla meşguldür hep.

 

Grafik ve fotoğraf çalışmalarıyla yurtiçinde ve yurtdışında (Çin,Yugoslavya, İtalya) çok sayıda ödül alan İbrahim Demirel, eğitimciliğini Gazi Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi Radyo Televizyon ve Sinema Bölümü’nün dışında da dia gösterileri, sergiler, konferanslar, radyo ve televizyon programları, çeşitli sanat yayınları ile sürdürmektedir.

 

2004 yılında yaptığı fotoğraf çalışmalarıyla Truva Sanat ve Kültür Derneği’nce yılın Fotoğraf sanatçısı ödülüne layık görülen sanatçı PTFD (Profesyonel Tanıtım Fotoğrafçıları Derneği) üyesi, AFSAD ve Gezginler Kulübünün de onur üyesidir.
